Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where do the sessions take place?

Due to Covid-19 all session will take place virtually.

Previously, the sessions primarily took place at 701 Market Street at the West Chester University Center City location. However, we also offer sessions at other locations depending on the topic, size of the group and preference of the facilitator.

How much do the sessions cost?

The costs range depending on length of time. On average the single 1-hour sessions starts as low as $25 per person; if two people from one organization sign up for the same workshop, the cost is reduced. Most sessions will be 3-hours and often offered as a series of three, 3-hour offerings. We are happy to work with organizations that may need a reduced fee in order to send their staff.

What if I signed up but can no longer attend? Are my fees refunded?

If you can no longer attend, you can send someone else in your place (try reaching out to a peer in another organization if no one from your own organization can attend). OR you will have a credit, which you can apply to a new session for the same cost within 30 days.

Is there a minimum number of participants required for the session(s) to run?

Yes, we need at least 5 people registered in order for the session(s) to run.

Do I HAVE to attend with another person from my organization or company?

In most cases you don't have to attend with another person; if strongly recommended or required it will be noted. Our experience is that learning is more fun with a peer, and it is easier to apply knowledge and practice skills when more than one person in an organization is familiar with the topic/strategies.

Do I have to register in advance or can I walk in the day of?

Registration closes 24 hours before the first session. We have have limited availability to accept payment the day of and we prefer if you register in advance.

Will you ever cancel a session?

If a session has fewer than 5 people registered, we may chose to cancel or reschedule the session. In that case, we will provide a credit for a future session within 30 days of the same or lesser cost.

Who leads the sessions?

It is a priority for us to ensure that trainers reflect both the participants attending the CYDP offerings as well as the communities where participants work.
